Objectives

• Update the information on the patterns of events related to global warming and climate change and the impacts thereof on natural systems including the energy and carbon dynamics in context of natural resource use.
  
  
• Understanding of the atmospheric and biological responses of natural processes to climate change and their manifestation in the natural resource profiles with specific reference to Western Ghats and Kerala.
  
  
• Identification of sectors and areas of action to ensure appropriate response to the impending impact in terms of strategies for conservation of natural resources by way of policies, programs and statutory initiatives.
